NAGASAKI - WILDERNESS MUTE
Dedicated to the memory of the victims of HIROSHIMA and NAGASAKI, and to ABEL COELHO, who left us before the rehearsals began in Barcelona. Thank you for your help and support from the other side.
The raw and poetic work confronts us with the irreversible damage caused to planet Earth, our global home, forcing us to consider the dangers of the atomic bomb. Photography - justinpbrown71

NAGASAKI - Wilderness Mute (Natura Morta) is a collaborative multidisciplinary work with live music, opera, video projection and Butoh dance. The work is inspired by the Nagasaki (Japan) atomic bombing in 1945.
This work commemorates the atomic attack with the aim of generating an open debate around the new nuclear escalation that hangs over the world in light of the current political tension between North Korea and the United States. Nuclear attacks and nuclear disasters (Chernobyl / Fukushima) have global environmental effects and directly impact our lives and those of future generations. Keiko Fujiie's musical composition, NAGASAKI - Wilderness Mute, was commissioned by MOR (Music Of Remembrance) in 2017. Thanks to JOAN CABOT (Parròquies de Poble Sec, Barcelona), TOM MANLEY (President of Antioch College, Ohio USA) & LUZ ROONEY (United Nations Association of Saint Louis, Missouri USA).
